Engineering admissions without Math and Physics ?
I believe, two reasons among all could be behind the decision of removing Math and Physics as essential requirements for admission to engineering courses.
Engineering as a science course need to evolve for certain reasons and not restrict only around mechanical, computer, aerospace science etc. It means now business studies and entrepreneur majors can also align with engineering horizon.
Biological system is also considered versatile machine at nano level. Studying biological machines with quantum mechanics will provide new insights in few years. Full fledged Biophysics at IITs is about to reveal mysteries of biological sciences soon.
Corporate reasons may have significantly affected this decision as engineering as a course in the market is failing. ~40 % engineering passouts stay unemployed. Most of the engineers opt for MBA / UPSC / SSC etc too for further progress. Lately, admission to engineering colleges have declined and in Bhopal itself we notice shutting down of engineering colleges every year. This decision might help more entrants towards engineering.
For initial few years, this conglomeration will be more like a confusion, but eventually evolve into beautiful outputs.
