Staff Selection Commission conducts Multitasking Staff recruitment exam every year. The paper is conducted at various regional centres across the country. Huge number of candidates appear for this exam every year. Here is the syllabus and pattern of this examination.<\/p>\n

SSC MTS Syllabus 2017 – SSC Multitasking Staff Syllabus and Exam Pattern
\nThe written examination for SSC MTS (Multitasking Staff) will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper-II) descriptive type as shown below :<\/p>\n

\nGeneral Awareness \u2013 50 marks
\nTime allowed \u2013 2 hrs. (2 hrs. 40 min. for Visually Handicapped candidates)
\nPaper II<\/strong>
\nShort Essay\/Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.
\nPaper-II will only be of qualifying nature.
\nTime allowed \u2013 30 minutes
\nMaximum marks \u2013 50 marks<\/p>\n

SSC MTS SYLLABUS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paper-I Syllabus of SSC MTS exam<\/strong>:
\nGeneral Intelligence<\/strong>: General Intelligence section will have questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts etc. This section will also have questions on dealing with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
\nEnglish Language<\/strong> : This section is to check candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language and its vocabulary, grammar, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, sentence structure etc. his\/her writing ability would be tested.
\nNumerical Aptitude<\/strong>: This section will have questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, relationship between Numbers, Fundamental, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Time and Work etc.
\nGeneral Awareness: Questions in this section is to check candidate\u2019s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. This section will include questions on knowledge of current events. The section will also have questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Economic scene, General Polity, Geography including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. The questions in this section will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.<\/p>\n

SSC MTS Syllabus of Paper-II<\/strong>: This paper will be of descriptive type. The Paper will be set in English and Hindi to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post. Candidates will be required to write one short essay\/letter in English and Hindi each. Candidates can opt to write the essay\/letter in any Indian language listed in 8th Schedule of the Constitution in lieu of Hindi.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT NOTE<\/strong>: SSC MTS (MULTITASKING STAFF) Exam Paper-I will consist of Objective Type Questions (MCQ ) only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer given by the candidate. Also Paper-II will be held only for such candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
