We write it with a small &#8216;2&#8217; as a superscript (like this: x\u00b2).<\/p>\n<div class=\"example\">\n<p>Examples: 3\u00b2 = 3 * 3 = 9, 5\u00b2 = 5 * 5 = 25, 10\u00b2 = 10 * 10 = 100<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A perfect square is a number that can be obtained by squaring an integer. For example, 9, 25, and 100 are perfect squares.<\/p>\n<h2>What are Square Roots?<\/h2>\n<p>The square root of a number is a value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the original number.
