There’s ‘maybe.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both refer to possibilities.
Both are different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s a simple way to use the words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use ‘maybe’ when you mean ‘possibly.’ (single word)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use ‘may be’ when you mean ‘might be.’ (two words)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s look at a few examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Five more people may be registering for my course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        In each sentence, see which works better; possibly or might be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
