Har saal India me Union Public Service Commission ki Civil Services Exams conduct ki jaati hai. Isme karib 10 lakhs IAS Exam ke aspirants (उम्मीदवारों) se UPSC ke forms received kiye jaate hai. Jo ek average 60% par out of PT me appears hota hai. Main written test ke liye total 10 vacancy hoti hai or 3 times total vacancy interview ke liye. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:

Iss examination ke apply ke liye, aapko kuch certain criteria me eligible hona hi chahiye, as we know that ki kissi bhi eligibility exam me ek entry point hota hai.

Candidate India ka citizen hona chahiye.
Candidate Central, State or Deemed University se ek degree honi chahiye. Degree agar correspondence education or distance education, open university se bhi ho to accepted hoti hai.
Candidate ki age 21 years old honi chahiye and 32 years old se jyada nahi honi chahiye. Open category ke liye 32 years restrict hai, OBC category ke liye 35 years restrict hai and SC/ST ke liye 37 years old restricted hai.
Open category ke liye number of attempts limited hoti hai (6 attempts), OBC category ke liye 9 attempts limited hoti hai and SC/ST candidate ke liye no limitation hoti hai (any number of attempts).

Isme three stages of selection process ki hoti hai –

Mains Written Exam
Interview
-Vacancies ki number UPSC jo civil services ke liye 700-1000 ke aas paas bani hui hai. But Indian Administrative Service ke liye 70-100 candidates allotted hote hai. Services ke beech me second me most opted choice hai Indian Police Service, third is Indian Foreign Service, fourth is Indian Revenue Services and then other civil services follows.

PRELIMINARY TEST

PT August ke mahine jiske liye form and notification February ke mahine me Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi ke through jaari kiya jaata hai. PT exam ke two papers 100 questions ke aate hai jisme se 80 questions two hours each me finished karne hote hai.

These papers are named as:

General Studies Paper I
General Studies Paper II
General Studies Paper II me 33% qualifying ke liye chahiye hote hai, merit list GS paper I ke score par based hoti hai.

SYLLABUS OF IAS EXAMS PAPER I (PT) – (200 MARKS)

Paper I me Social Studies, Indian Economy, General Science, Current Affairs, Environment etc. etc. hote hai. Exam ka timing generally scheduled vala hota hai jisme first half day (9am – 11am) tak two hours exam hota hai. Paper ke liye UPSC ke through provided syllabus hai.

Current events of national and international importance.
History of India and Indian National Movement.
Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic, Geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues etc.
Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives etc.
General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialisation General Science.
SYLLABUS FOR PAPER II – (200 MARKS)

Paper II Comprehension and Aptitude vale hote hai. Iski duration bhi two hours ki hoti hai, isse second half of the day me scheduled kiya jaata hai. Syllabus provided by UPSC –

Interpersonal Skills including Communication skills
Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability
Decision making and problemsolving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – class X level)
